Hawaii - Island of Molokai : Spring Sale on prints 50% off for the month of May! Here are some aerial shots of the island of Molokai. They were taken with my little digi camera fromt he inside of a helicopter so they are not fantastic but they give you an idea of the topography and coastline. Molokai boasts the highest sea cliffs in the world that are hundreds of feet high with waterfalls cascading into the ocean. Unreal! I got some shots last week (April 17-18) and the first day we had pretty heavy vog from the volcano on the Big Island. The second day was epic so you may see the difference in the new shots.

Hawaii - Hawaiian Monk Seals : Spring Sale on prints 50% off for the month of May! Hawaii is blessed to have the endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal grace us with its presence on the main islands. These images are from the island of Kauai where the monk seals come up to rest on the beach after weeks hunting in the ocean. They are usually solitary animals. I had the rare opportunity to see two on Poipu Beach on the south shore of Kauai about a year ago. The more recent images are from the north shore of Kauai on a beach called Ke'e Beach. The monk seals are protected by the Marine Mammal Protection Act and should not be approached or harassed. They are quite tolerant of people and will frequently be seen resting on popular beaches. Resting on the beach for several hours (sometimes days) is essential to their survival in the ocean. Image #9 was taken just before we put up the ropes around the seal to protect it from the public. Seals have been known to bite so it is best to keep your distance and notify lifeguards or park staff when you see a monk seal arriving on the beach.

The whales vist the island to give birth and breed from December-May each year. They are an endangered species and protected by the Marine Mammal Protection Act.

Hawaii - Nene Goose : Spring Sale on prints 50% off for the month of April! The Hawaiian Nene Goose is endangered and can be found on all the Hawaiian Islands. The images here represent Nene that I have photographed at Haleakala National Park and in Hanalei on Kauai. Many have been raised in captivity and have banded legs with numbers for researchers to track their progress. Hikers who encounter the Nene are encouraged not to feed them. They are very curious and talkative birds.

Aubrey's areas of specialty are:

*Stock photography nature: Tropical and North American landscapes specifically looking at design, patterns color and textures.

*Stock photography travel: tourist sights and local cultures (with a strong photo library of Hawaii, where she is based).

*Stock photography lifestyles/adventure

Aubrey began her career in photography managing her high school darkroom in the 80's. She was fortunate to meet a National Geographic photographer as a teenager who took her under wing, providing guidance and insights. She continued working in the darkroom at Colorado College throughout her college years continuing to develop her composition and technical darkroom skills as well as taking photography courses.

Her love of international travel started 26 years ago in middle school with a trip to England. Since then, she has traveled extensively to 14 countries on 5 continents. Some of her favorites included Palau, Sulawesi, Uganda, Greece, Dominica and New Zealand. She has also traveled to, studied or worked in Pohnpei, Kosrae, England, France, Greece, Australia, Vietnam, Thailand and Ukraine.

She recently left the corporate world to pursue her passion for photography professionally.

An avid hiker, PADI divemaster, adventure traveler and naturalist, she combines her passion for design, creating a sense of place and a love of nature to each of her images.

She has a special interest in tropical island ecosystems and the microclimates they create as well as the fragility of the environment.

She and her husband live on a flower farm on the slopes of Haleakala volcano on Maui. A dream job would be working for National Geographic.
